Although you will soon be able to find more details about my life by visiting my soon to be personal blog, I’ll give you a distilled version of my personal and professional life.

I am a licensed real estate broker in the State of Massachusetts, and a proud member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®.

After years of working for a prominent software company in the Boston area, I decided to ‘retire’ from the corporate world and began my serendipitous journey in the world of real estate, and in 1999, I became a licensed salesperson.

As I began my new career with a national real estate company, I realized that much of what I intentionally left behind at the software company was soon haunting me again. My attempt to brand myself as an original was constantly being reviewed by the greater ‘corporate powers’ in the form of standards, requirements and the good old ‘compliance’ department. Basically, anything I wanted to do needed review. What a damper on spontaneity!! That did not work for me.

What could I do? Perhaps another company would be less restrictive and allow me to ‘think outside the box’? Not really. I moved to another national firm and soon realized … they’re all the same. What next? There was only one solution.

In 2001, I opened the doors to Genesis Realty Group, a boutique-style real estate firm with a client-centric vision of success. What was I thinking? Everyone discounted my efforts with the premise that I could NEVER survive as an independent real estate office amidst the corporate real estate giants! Well, since 2001, my company has been serving the Metro-North area of Boston, Massachusetts and as of this writing … Genesis Realty Group is still in existence, expanding its boundaries through strategic affiliations with other boutique-style service companies.

Where is my vision today?

Well, as my uncompromising passion to serve my clients drives my business vision, I pursued a Certfied Buyer Representative ® designation (CBR®), the first nationally recognized BUYER AGENCY DESIGNATION sponsored by REALTOR® boards and associations throughout the nation. This specialized training allows my clients to receive the best possible client-level representation when pursuing the purchase of residential real estate in my specialized area.

One of my defined goals for 2008 is to earn my title as Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), another nationally recognized designation that provides me with the training necessary to address the individual needs of home buyers age 55-plus. On the whole, this training enhances my skills in representing clients who experience life-style changes brought forth by the need to adapt to both positive and negative circumstances surrounding their age, family situation, social needs … all in context with their physical and financial health.

I am a voracious reader and consumer of new media, especially in the form of podcasts and blogs, constantly exercising my brain with new ideas by feeding it as much unfiltered information as possible. My brain is exercised by the actual sifting of this information, ensuring what I learn is in context with my personal needs and that of my clients.

I am a strong believer in being a perpetual student, as my dynamic knowledge provides me with a competitive advantage in leveraging and enhancing my personal experiences and relationships, as well as that of my clients and business partners.

What else do I do? In addition to serving my real estate community, I am an entrepreneur in the Boston, Massachusetts area and I have have a very active presence in my business community through various internet and brick-and-mortar business ventures and partnerships.

Hmmm, what else do I do? Oh, yes … how could I forget … I absolutely love music. The one constant in my life as far back as I can remember is my love for music. I simply cannot imagine a world without it. I play guitar, keyboard and sing. I occasionally play as part of an acoustic duo with my good friend Kevin Collins, a fantastic vocalist and voice-over talent in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

I 1998 I married a beautiful girl named Melanie, and together we began our journey as a family. In 2001, the most precious little gift on earth was bestowed upon us, the birth of our first child, Sofia. Three years later, we were blessed once again with … a baby boy!!! Yes, Antonio was born to add more joy and happiness to our family.

My family defines who I am in life; everything I do, whether personally or professionally, I do with them in mind. I am driven not by money, but by the many smiles on my family’s faces … and the countless people I assist through my professional endeavors. Many people will say that if you do what you love, money will follow. I agree wholeheartedly.

What is my philosophy? One rule defines everything. The Golden Rule. Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated. I do not ‘force’ relationships. The best relationships, on both a personal and professional level, are created by people who convene together by virtue of sharing the same level of mutual respect, values and morals. The synergy of such relationships allow things to naturally take the right course. In my mind, the foundation is that simple.

Over the years, my focus has been dedicated to empowering my clients through an educational and consultative approach. Many real estate consumers lack the confidence necessary to pursue their most ambitious financial goals. I am here to help answer their everyday real estate questions and promote discussion through knowledge and perspective.

I hope this blog becomes a platform for thought and education. Quite simply stated, a more educated consumer is a more CONFIDENT consumer.
